Calvinism

For those of you that are interested in basic understanding of Calvinism, Phil Johnson posted a 7 part series on “Why I Am a Calvinist” at Pulpit Magazine.

Good series and it especially highlights how inconsistent Arminianism between its theology and its practice. One point that interested me in particular was the notion that God would be prayed to for a lost person’s salvation when God wouldn’t interfere in this person’s free-will action necessary for salvation in the first place.

I’ve been thinking on 1 John 4:19 since reading Phil’s posts and it really is a profound verse. It should bring us to our knees when all of its implications are throught through.
