Book Review: Jonathan Edwards’ Resolutions & Advice to Young Converts

Every Christian ought to know Jonathan Edwards. Although he’s been dead for more than 300 years, he still speaks powerfully through his writings. People can be intimidated or discouraged by the massive volumes of his writings such as The Works of Jonathan Edwards (totaling over 1,600 pages just in two volumes!) but thanks to Stephen Nichols, this particular booklet Jonathan Edwards’ Resolutions and Advice to Young Converts is a perfect way to get acquainted with the America’s greatest theologian and pastor-preacher. This 36-page booklet contains two notable writings: Resolutions (written at the age of 19!) and Advice to Young Converts (a pastoral counsel written in a form of letter that applies to all Christians). I would highly recommend this booklet to every Christian who’s interested in practical ways to pursue God-glorifying life.
